Meet Our Team

Dr. Kerry
Founder
Dr. Kerry is the Founder and Director of Sensory Taekwon-Do and is highly trained in neurology and functional medicine, specializing in early childhood spectrum disorders. He has spent years researching neurological and biomedical interventions for children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other learning challenges, and has overseen programs that have trained thousands of children.
Combining his advanced martial arts background with a whole-brain/whole-body therapeutic approach, Dr. Kerry developed a sensory-integrated martial arts program proven to improve cognition, focus, mood, and impulse control. The program continues to evolve with sensory integration techniques and nutritional support for comprehensive developmental care.
He is also a regular attendee of the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS), staying current with evidence-based approaches for autism and related complex pediatric conditions.

Coach Jarrod
Head Coach Jarrod
With over 8 years of experience working with neuro-diverse individuals and thousands of hours of instruction under his belt, Coach Jarrod is the driving force behind our programs. His martial arts background is extensive, spanning 10 years of PAL boxing, 7 years of Muay Thai, and training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Taekwondo. But his expertise goes beyond technique; Jarrod specializes in corrective exercise and strength conditioning, ensuring every movement is safe and effective for our students.
Jarrod’s passion is deeply personal. Growing up with an older brother with congenital rubella syndrome, he learned the value of patience and compassion early on. Today, he uses that understanding to mentor our students and train our new coaches. Parents and students alike love Jarrod for his warm personality, his brilliance in adaptive teaching, and his unwavering commitment to helping every child build resilience and confidence.

He understands that martial arts is about more than just fighting—it’s about brain development, confidence and discipline.
Mikhail specializes in working with children across the autism spectrum, adapting his vast technical knowledge into fun, accessible lessons. He plays a key role in training our new instructors, ensuring our high standards of patience and understanding are met.
